Officials at Paper Converting Machine Company (PCMC) say that the First Annual Nonwovens Converting Technical Conference in Green Bay, WI, June 8-9, 2005 exceeded all expectations. “It was an overwhelming success,” said David Kessenich, Global Sales Manager. “Our Technical Conference was attended by more than 200 nonwovens professionals from all over the world.” According to Mr. Kessenich, the conference showcased experts who spoke about the latest advancements in nonwovens printing, coating, fluid application, bonding, and embossing. “Our speakers gave detailed, interesting presentations and sparked a lot of discussion from our guests,” Mr. Kessenich added. “We covered a wide range of interesting subjects and at the same time showcased some of PCMC’s abilities as a flexographic printing supplier for nonwovens.” Attendees listened to a day and a half of industry expert’s presentations at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College. The conference was then concluded with lab line and machinery demonstrations at the PCMC Technology Center, giving participants a view of PCMC’s latest advances in nonwovens converting and printing. “People were really excited to see the machinery and lab line demonstrations,” Mr. Kessenich added. “We demonstrated our flexographic printing equipment and actually converted printed and packaged wet wipes samples on our lab line.” PCMC is already working to build on the success of this event for next year.
